Camphor ( Kafoor )

Burdock is a wonderful herb known for its numerous health benefits which include, aiding in digestion, detoxifying the liver, balancing hormones, improving skin quality, reducing inflammation, and lowering blood pressure. Burdock root was used, along with other plants, for healing measles, sore throat, cold, and even tonsillitis by ancient Chinese medicinal practitioners. The flowers are anthelmintic, antioxidant, astringent to bowels, bitter, carminative, cholagogue, hepatoprotective, immunostimulant, laxative and stomachic. Useful in haemorrhoids.

The seeds are used in medicine mainly as an acrid, anodyne, anthelmintic, antibacterial, antioxidant, antispasmodic, aromatic, bitter, calmative, cardiotonic, carminative, cholagogue, diaphoretic, digestive, diuretic, emmenagogue, expectorant, febrifuge, galactagogue, resolvent, stimulant, stomachic and thermogenic. Along with antispasmodics they relieve period pain. They help regulate metabolism.
